In these uncertain times and following the government’s latest advice RE: COVID-19. The Log Cabin Charity will remain open until further notice. However, the following procedures will now be in place with immediate effect.

The After School Club and Holiday Playschemes will be closed from Monday 23rd March 2020.

We will be operating a reduced service for those vulnerable children most in need, which we will be running in collaboration with the Local authority; ESCAN (Ealing Service for Children with Additional Needs). We will be contacting applicable parents individually regarding this.

  • Children will not be accepted into the Log Cabin if they have a temperature of 37.8 or above. Children who develop a temperature of this reading or above whilst at Log Cabin will need to be collected immediately and will need to stay at home for 14 days.
  • Children with signs of a persistent cough or who develop a new cough will also be required to stay at home for 14 days.
  • Any child with a member of their household who is self-isolating with symptoms will need to stay at home for 14 days.
  • If a child or their household member has travelled abroad to ANY country at all, they will be required to stay at home for 7 days.

The Log Cabin are taking additional measures to ensure the safety and well being of the children and staff whilst at the centre by increasing regular hand washing, ensuring regular cleaning and sanitising of high contact surfaces and ensuring social distancing is practiced where possible.

I appreciate these new measures may cause some inconvenience to working parents, but it is vital in these uncertain times that we follow government advice, safeguard children and staff and do everything we can to contain this disease.

Due to the unpredictability of the current situation please note that these arrangements may change at very short notice.

If you are not receiving services and you have a concern regarding your child or require additional support please contact ECIRS (Ealing Children's Integrated Response Service)

I would like to thank you all in advance for your co-operation.

Yours Sincerely

The Log Cabin Management Team
