The Log Cabin Charity, Ealing, provides a place where local children and young people with additional needs or disabilities can socialise, grow and have fun alongside their mainstream peers.

Established in 1980 by Margaret Lorde, then Mayor of Ealing, the independently run charity offers affordable after-school care and school- holiday activities, providing respite for parents and carers.

With its strong focus on inclusivity, the Log Cabin welcomes all children regardless of ability or emotional, physical, behavioural and learning disabilities, allowing them to play and make new friends, and assuring that those with additional needs do not become socially isolated.

We want to recruit an experienced and results-driven part-time Fundraising Manager to identify, establish and manage relationships with major donors and potential donors including Trusts, Foundations and Business.

They will also organise/coordinate fundraising events in order to support the Charity’s fundraising targets and develop digital fundraising channels.

The Fundraising Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with local community groups and individuals and generally raising awareness of the work of the Charity.


The ideal candidate should have the following skills and experience:

  • at least 2 years working in a fundraising role
  • proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • excellent organisational skills
  • preferably be a member of the Institute of Fundraising
  • good time management
  • good attention to detail
  • excellent written communication skills
  • the ability to work autonomously and thrive under pressure
  • experience of working with children preferred, although not essential.
